Smart alerts

It's hard to watch your camera feed all the time, so Nest Cam sends alerts to your phone or email address when it picks up movement or unexpected sounds like crashes and breakages.

You'll get a crucial scene from whatever happened – and you can see photos from the previous three hours via the Nest app to stay on top of your property's security.

Share your live footage with neighbours on a password-protected stream for more proactive security. You can make clips and download them to share with other people or the police, or even create a short time lapse film from longer clips.

Differentiates between people and objects

You don't want to be distracted or alarmed by false alerts – if you subscribe to Nest Aware (sold separately) it can detect the right kind of activity so you're only informed of key events.

Sightline

Using Sightline, you can find the exact frame or event you're looking for. No more time-consuming scrubbing through footage to locate a person or incident.

You can view a day in a matter of seconds, with information on the location, start and end times of the event. Sightline will automatically zoom in on the action so you can see if it's relevant or not.

Image clarity is extra-important for home security. That's why Nest Cam records in 1080p Full HD so that your videos look clear and sharp, in dark or daylight conditions.

The camera can monitor a bigger area and fit more into each scene with its 130° wide-angle lens. Night vision illuminates the field of view for clear views at all times.

This camera is a great choice for keeping an eye on your home, receive notifications (if you choose too) and genereally keep an eye on things.

When it comes to installing this unit we normally opt for a high point on the property maybe on the soffit below the guttering, this allows us to conceal all the cabling in the loft to keep the installation as eye pleasing as possible.
